Steps to Determine Paternity
for Legal Purposes
In order to meet the legal requirements for a Paternity test for court purposes a third party with no vested interest must collect the DNA samples. DNA Canada has a national contract with the Victorian Order of Nurses (VON). The VON offices are not laboratory locations; they are offices throughout Canada that provide the collection service for DNA Canada.
