Full/Half Sibling DNA Testing
$588.50 Canadian funds including all taxes
Additional Alleged Full- or- Half-sibling + $200.00

Siblingship DNA tests are designed to determine if two or more individuals have common parents. There are two types of DNA Siblingship tests for which samples can be tested. The Half-siblingship DNA Test and the Full-siblingship DNA Test.

Half-siblingship exists if two or more individuals have one common biological parent.

Full-siblingship exists if two or more indivuduals have the same biological parents.

These services can be ordere for either personal or legal purposes.

  • Turnaround Time: 3-6 Weeks.
  • Participants: Two alleged full- or half-siblings, and any parent is optional, but strongly suggested.

Procedure:

DNA samples are collected from two alleged (full or half) siblings. It is strongly suggested that any known parent of the two alleged siblings be included in the test as his or her genetic information is helpful in verifying the possible relationship between the siblings. (there are no additional fees for the parent(s).

The results for a full-siblingship test with the involvement of one or both biological parents will produce a high probability of full-siblingship, often above 90%.

You may receive results that are given in probability of full-siblingship or probability of half-siblingship.  Unlike paternity tests, this probability will not provide overwhelming certainty of a biological relationship.  Rather, this probability will show whether the siblings are more or less related.
