Personal Maternal DNA Testing (do it yourself)
$225.00 Canadian funds including all taxes
Once you receive your DNA testing kit, you will collect the cheek cell specimens. The cheek cells contain the DNA that will be tested. These specimens are easily collected when and where you want, using DNA Canada’s proprietary Swab DNA Collection kit. Once the specimens are collected, you will simply send your samples to DNACANADA. The system is easy-to-understand and guaranteed to achieve results indicating probabilities of 100% for exclusions and greater than 99.9% for inclusions.

Additional Child or Alleged Mother Fee is $150.00 (per child)
(If more than one child is to be tested)
Procedure:
Samples are obtained from the child and the alleged mother (the father's participation is optional, but strongly suggested). DNA collection is done in the convenience of your own home by rubbing a cheek cell swab (provided in with the kit) on the inside of the mouth. DNA can also be extracted from hair, tissue, or dried biological fluids such as blood or saliva. After the specimens are collected they are sent our laboratory for analysis. The results are available within 3-9 business days (express services are also available). The personal maternity tests are not designed to be strongly supported in a court of law.
3 Steps to Determining Maternity for Personal Purposes
